Synopsis

Mounia a mid-20 girl is looking for her cat in a now-destroyed city, Beirut. Accompanied by her best friend Ghady, who is more interested in flirting with a British journalist, they embark on a journey to find what has been taken from them.

Director’s biography

Daniela Stephan is a Lebanese writer-director based between Beirut and London. She holds a Master’s degree in Directing from the London Film School and has a passion for telling human stories that explore themes of identity, belonging, and the socio-political and environmental challenges faced in her hometown, Beirut. Daniela’s unique artistic vision combines elements of cinema with her cultural heritage, resulting in breathtaking imagery and captivating narratives.
